Persian rug

Iran is one of the first regions that come to mind when we say carpet. Iranian carpets, also known as Persian carpets, are among the most valuable carpets in the world. Knot styles are also different from carpets woven in Turkey. There are Iranian carpets woven in many different regions and periods. Today, a large part of Iran's export revenues are carpets. At the same time, there is a carpet weaving culture in Iran that dates back to ancient times.

Features of Persian rugs

Persian carpets are mainly woven in Kashan, Tabriz, Isfahan and Heriz regions. Carpets in Iran are generally woven by men. They are woven with a special interlocking weaving method called Iranian knot. This weaving method makes these carpets longer lasting and durable. In fact, Persians are resistant to these Turks.
