What is a Lava Rug?

Lava is the name of one of nature's most powerful surfaces, formed when volcanic rock cools and hardens. Apex Halı's Lava collection draws inspiration from this name: a Polyester loop pile rug series built on a hard and durable substructure, yet offering surprising softness on its upper surface.

With a 10 mm pile height and non-slip backing, Lava is durable against the intense pace of daily use. The binding edge finish gives the rug a clean and professional look. The solid color palette provides a neutral base that complements every interior style.

Loop Pile Texture: Both Durable and Soft

Loop pile weaving is a technique where the yarn is held in loops on the surface. This structure creates two important features: first, the surface gains a three-dimensional and textured feel, and second, the yarn loops resist pressure, preventing the rug from flattening over time. Lava's loop pile surface does not flatten over time; it retains its shape.

Care and Cleaning

Lava's non-slip backing and loop pile surface make cleaning easy. Smaller sizes can be machine washed on a hand wash cycle. Professional cleaning is recommended for larger sizes. For daily use, a vacuum cleaner is sufficient.

Suitable for Which Spaces?

Lava is particularly effective in damp areas or high-traffic areas such as in front of the bathroom, beside the bed, at the shower exit, and in hallways. Its non-slip backing ensures safe use on slippery surfaces like those in bathrooms and kitchens. Children's rooms and entryways are also preferred areas of use.
